Shining a Light on Mental Health in Our Community
SolMateo is a volunteer group working to support our local community with issues surrounding mental health. By raising money and awareness for organizations that provide essential services like suicide prevention hotlines, emergency housing for homelessness, and counseling services, we strive to help our neighbors obtain important resources in times of need.
Who We Support
MHA enriches quality of life, restores dignity, and reduces homelessness for those affected by mental illness and HIV/AIDS by providing shelter, support and opportunities for socialization.
The StarVista Crisis Center provides suicide intervention services and programs for San Mateo County residents, including a 24-hour crisis hotline, mobile youth crisis response team (Youth S.O.S.), online and text teen crisis support, and educational presentations to the community and schools.
SolMateo helps fill the funding gap for these essential local mental health organizations.
About
SolMateo (formerly Community Service League) is a nonprofit organization of dedicated volunteers committed to "shining light on mental health" in our community. Two annual fundraising events (Holiday Auction & Luncheon and Signature Kitchen Tour) enable SolMateo to be the largest private donor to both MHA and StarVista.
