SolMateo received the Outstanding Philanthropic Organization award from AFP Silicon Valley, in recognition of their incredible work supporting and promoting local mental health services.
Every year, the Association of Fundraising Professionals, (AFP) accepts nominations from the community for organizations that go “above and beyond” to give back. StarVista nominated SolMateo and we won! SolMateo was honored at the 31st Annual Silicon Valley Philanthropic Day to receive their “Outstanding Philanthropic Organization Award”.
A few facts about this award as noted by StarVista:
Since 1976, Sol Mateo has donated over $2.3 million to MHA and StarVista.
SolMateo donates 100% of the funds it raises.
Gone above and beyond to support StarVista’s Crisis work initiatives, including revamping the service, a youth-focused counseling website that allows youth to anonymously log-on and talk with trained volunteer peer mentors.
